How long have you worked at Mayfield Watford?
I joined Mayfield Watford a year and a half ago, so was part of the launch event last February. I’ve worked for over 14 years in the property industry.
What do you do in your spare time?
I love spending time with my family and going for long cycle rides in the countryside.
What’s the biggest misconception about retirement villages?
Signalling you’re at the end, when it’s just the beginning. It’s all about enhancing the life you’re currently living, continuing to be independent and at Mayfield Watford, new friendships are already being made before owners have even moved in.
What’s your favourite thing about working for Mayfield Watford?
My team! It’s got to be the great team I get to work with every day.
What’s the question you get asked the most?
"What are the costs involved?" Buying a new home is a big life-changing decision, so it’s important to talk about costs you might incur. At Mayfield we make sure we’re open with you about the costs and have a ‘cost calculator’ so that you can easily work out if you’re going to save money if you decide to move in.
What do you love about Watford?
The great sense of community and the surprising amount of green space, including Cassiobury Park which has had a lot of money spent on refurbing it and restoring the 104-year-old bandstand.
What are you most looking forward to when Mayfield Watford opens?
Knowing we’re making a difference to people’s lives. There are so many different parts we play, from the community and friendships that owners make to the improvement in health and wellbeing from the Mayfield Club and the support we can give through Mayfield Care.
